Primošten
Location
Central Dalmatia
Location
Central Dalmatia
Primošten rises from the sea on a small stone peninsula between Šibenik and Trogir. From the deck of a gulet, the old town appears tightly wrapped in pale stone, with St. George’s Church standing at the highest point above the water.
It’s not a large destination, and it doesn’t try to compete with Hvar or Dubrovnik. Primošten works because it’s compact, scenic, and easy — ideal for a relaxed evening stop along a central Dalmatian route.

Where You’ll Spend Time
Most yachts either moor in Marina Kremik, located just south of town, or anchor offshore in calm conditions before heading in for the evening.
The highlight is the walk up through the narrow stone streets to St. George’s Church, where the view opens across the Adriatic and surrounding islands. Sunset from this point is the reason many charters stop here.
Around the base of the peninsula is Raduča Beach, which wraps along the shoreline. During the day it’s active, but by early evening it quiets down as the focus shifts toward dinner and waterfront cafés.

Things to Do
Explore the Old Town
Primošten’s historic center is entirely pedestrian and small enough to explore in under an hour.
Inside the stone lanes you’ll find:
St. George’s Church at the summit
Narrow stairways connecting sea level to the hilltop
Small wine bars and local shops
A simple waterfront promenade circling the peninsula
It’s easy to wander without planning — just follow the lanes upward and loop back toward the harbor.

Visit the Bucavac Vineyards
Just inland from Primošten are the famous Bucavac vineyards, known for producing Babić wine. The landscape is distinctive — stone walls divide the land into geometric parcels carved directly from rock.
Wine tastings can be arranged at nearby family wineries for guests interested in a short inland excursion.
